No, really, it was!
Ready for another slide show?

Well, these are my folks, in all their mid-life crisis glory. If you can't tell, I'm in back of the convertible. With the top down. On the freeway. It was, to say the least, a bit chilly. It was one of the few times during the weekend, though, that it was sunny, so I'm glad we seized the moment.
Surprisingly, it wasn't that bad riding in the back of a Mustang for 12 hours. I don't think I'd like to make it a habit or anything, but it wasn't awful. There was enough room for me to spread out my various means of entertaining myself with room to spare.

My sister took us to a great Sri Lankan restaurant (located beside the methadone clinic) on Saturday night. This was just
some of the food we ate that night. We didn't know how to order so we all got some of everything and shared. Sort of a mini-buffet if you will.
Ahem. Also at this meal, it was revealed to my parents (unintentionally, I'm sure) that I have a blog. Sweet baby Jesus, I hope my father doesn't go looking for it.
As a matter of fact (now that I'm thinking about that night), it was also revealed that my father was watching that fateful night when I got to talk to my former idol, Sue Johannson. Oh man. I actually told him the truth - that I made up a question I pretty much knew the answer to just so I could call in. But, sadly, he refused to believe it. My father thinks I'm a whore. Oh well.

And here we have the best species of racoon known to man: Deadus Verminosus. I hate fucking racoons. They have single-handedly caused my apartment to smell like a garbage dump for the past year. Oh sure, they look cute, but look at those claws. They will tear up a garbage bag in 2 seconds and leave you to pick up week old sour cream and tampons at 7:00am in the freezing cold. I hate fucking racoons.

Here we have my gorgeous sistah, sitting next to an equally gorgeous waterfall in a national park we hiked through on Sunday. Amazingly, she did the trek with tiny heels she bought in Amsterdam. Truly, she is a greater lady than I. I wouldn't have made it one meter before collapsing.
So, those are some of the highlights. You can find more
hereIn other news, we are a little over a week away from the big move. I think all the preliminaries are taken care of. I've arranged for the cable to be switched, as well as the power. I called the power company yesterday, and because of my stellar credit, I managed to have the deposit waived ($300!). I also found out yesterday that I will be getting a new laptop for my new job, which is just so frickin' sweet I can't even describe.
racoons are horrible!! when we lived on a farm for awhile one summer, they tore the legs off ducks & ate them! with the ducks left alive & legless! horrible!!
glad you had a nice trip, Sweetie!
